Abacus AI Desktop is the most powerful general AI agent—your all-in-one desktop AI assistant and listener.

You may use the Abacus AI Desktop app on any OS – macOS, Windows and Linux. Besides the app, you may use it in below applications as well-

• Desktop App: Access All 4 Modes - Terminal/CLI, Code Editor, Chat mode and CoWork on Desktop App. Available on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Terminal / CLI: Install via npm using npm install -g @abacus-ai/cli and use abacusai to launch a CLI-based Terminal UI (TUI) in your terminal.
• Code Editor: Integrated via Desktop app, with a dedicated IDE Extension launching soon.
• CoWork: Integrated via the Desktop app—delegate complex, multi-step knowledge tasks and receive finished deliverables directly on your local file system.

Abacus AI Desktop provides access to multiple state-of-the-art models optimized for different coding and reasoning tasks. The available models include Sonnet 4.6, GPT-5.4 Codex, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Opus 4.6, Qwen 3 Coder and the Abacus AI Deep Agent, which automatically routes to the best LLM based on your specific task.

In addition to the coding agent combined with multiple state-of-the-art models, Abacus AI Desktop comes with several powerful benefits:

We don't use your data for training, it's always encrypted at all times and we have enterprise compliance including SOC-2 Type-2 and HIPAA.

• CoWork operates within a secure, isolated environment on your machine. File access requires explicit user permission, and destructive actions (e.g., file deletion) require confirmation before execution.

Abacus AI Desktop access is included in the Pro tier subscription, priced at $20 per user per month (full access to Abacus AI Deep Agent, Desktop, and CoWork).

The Basic tier ($10 per user per month) provides access to ChatLLM Teams along with limited use of Abacus AI Deep Agent, Abacus AI Desktop, and CoWork (up to 3 tasks of limited complexity).

Upgrading to the Pro tier for an additional $10 per month unlocks unrestricted access to the full capabilities of Abacus AI Deep Agent, Abacus AI Desktop, and unrestricted CoWork.

You can cancel anytime, and your subscription will remain active for the rest of the billing month.

Some users may be offered a promotional discount for the first month. After the first month, standard pricing applies.

You can cancel anytime from the ChatLLM interface. Billing subscription details are available on the desktop interface by clicking on the top right corner, and going to the Billing and Invoices page from your profile.

You can view all past payments by going to your profile, and navigating to the Billing and Invoices page. There, you will be able to see your payment details and history. You will also be able to download past invoices and update your payment information.

Your subscription includes fair-use access to all supported models. Specific quotas (e.g., generations per month or per user) depend on your plan tier. Please refer to your billing dashboard for the latest limits.

CoWork is an agentic mode in Abacus AI Desktop that extends Deep Agent's capabilities beyond coding into general knowledge work. Unlike Chat, which is conversational, or CLI/Code Editor, which are developer-focused, CoWork autonomously plans, executes, and delivers complex, multi-step tasks directly on your local files.

• Read, write, organize, and transform local files (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, images, data files, and code).
• Break complex tasks into parallel subtasks using sub-agent coordination for faster completion.
• Generate professional, fully editable outputs—Excel files with working formulas, formatted Word documents, PowerPoint decks, and PDF reports.
• Handle long-running tasks without conversation timeouts or context limits.
• Integrate with external services via connectors and browser automation.

CoWork is available in the Abacus AI Desktop app on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
